Try setting up a situtation where whatever happens, you win. Lemme deal with a lil bit of analogy.
Imagine there's one last piece of Peppermint Tart from the Coffee Bean on the plate & to settle whether you or your fren gets it, you decide to flip a coin.
So you flip a coin & you call heads. And it's heads, you get the TART!
Or alternatively, you flip a coin & it's tails & you say ,"Best of Three!", and it comes up tails again. NOW you look your fren in the eye & said : "Sweetheart, I hate to say this but do you remember when you said I should do whatever it takes to make you stick to you diet? I'm sorry but I'm going to have to show some tough love here, for the sake of your thighs."
And then you get the tantalising tart.
Better still, you flip the coin (still calling heads), and before you see what's coming up, you look your fren meaningfully in the eye & say, "Do we really want this piece of tart to come between us? Isn't it much better, as frens, if we live together & trust each other? How about you give me half of the tart & we both feel good together?" End it off with a smirk for best results & you still get the tart.
The thing is these days there has been alot of ponders & it's all about taking a guess. If you're right, you've won. & If you're wrong, you manipulate the situation so it seems like you've been right all along & on the way, you conveniently hit an emotional jackpot. Therefore, you've won even better than you would've done if you had got it right for the first attempt.
Work that brain people. Heh.
Full wattage of smiles taking over futile efforts.
