I would have to say, today is a nice saturday. Yes that's right - no classes today, no teaching, but alot of marking. Lookin at my students' Science papers, I just wana vomit blood. But of course, the thought stops when I think of how cute they are. Haha. Some days I'd rather teach than mark, but for most, I'd wana teach & mark even though it means "one packet of strepsils a day keeps another doctor away". Come to think of it, it's been 4 packets, Extra Strong :)
To start off a good week, we had Swensen's for some good birthday celebrations. Owell the birthday boys were kinda happy and surprised, and nothing beats having the Good People all gathered and a $400 bill, even the lactose-intolerant me enjoyed the ice-cream overload. Haha pictures will be up when I get hold of them!
Ending the week was squeezing at the sale, walking around doing nothing except for poking Pocky into each other's mouths, and when we got hungry we turned to Sakae while thinking of RotiJohn & Mochi. Glad to visit places where we last went, and do things we last did long ago. Sucha wonder how the surroundings can wrap you up for the mood ;p
I have a attached friend who asked me why some people get attached, while others prefer singleton. She reasoned that it is all about settling down, or wanting to pursue personal pursuits.
I say, "it doesn't matter because whoever's in your life will back you up", the pursuits in this case.
Another friend asked me why her best friend dumped her when the boyfriend came into the picture, during which she was utterly dejected and angry for the fact that she saw her friend's true colour - boytoy as the top priority. I gave her a blank face & tried to think of something, at least something, to answer her. " Maybe she cant relate to you as well as before?"
Well here's the most interesting friend by the way. Her very own best friend is currently treating her like something in consignment, or rather, convicted, just because something which cant be controlled, happened. Makes me wonder, how selfish & insensitive can people get? "Thank god she let you see through her."
See, there are people like this out there. Now you wonder, no wonder.
